Description: 

One Hundred Strokes takes a moment to give back some of the care my mother has given me. Over a few minutes, I brush my mother’s hair for one hundred strokes, as the old adage expresses. The act of brushing hair is an intimate one. It is a gesture of care, of love, of bond. No words are needed to be exchanged, just a quiet moment between a mother and daughter. By completing this act, I hope to give a piece of myself to my mother to repay all the pieces of herself she has given me.
